Lancc Anti Road Diet Presentation
The LANCC invited the anti-road diet group Keep LA Moving to present on ‘traffic safety.’ KLAM moved that the LANCC “demand to start the process to remove all traffic calming measures” from LA streets. Articulate, powerful, and nearly unanimous opposition to the motion followed, with many speakers asking why the LANCC invited an anti- traffic safety advocacy group to present without balance from other groups or traffic safety experts. The motion was tabled until 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 5, 2019, when Jesi Durite of the LA County Bike Coalition will present, along with others, at LA DWP Headquarters.

Totz on Hollywood Bike Lane and Memorials
Hollywood Bicycling Ambassador Alexander Totz urges us to support Councilmember Mike Bonin’s proposal to place memorials at crash sites around the city at an LA City Transportation Committee meeting on Wednesday, November 28th; and, to support the Hollywood Community Plan’s inclusion of a fully protected bike lane along the length of Hollywood Boulevard by calling or emailing by January 31st, 2019.
