Over the last 10 years, the Passage of a Few People Through a Rather Brief Moment in Time ride took its passagers where they’d never been, like, famously, LA’s storm drains. Riders saw parts of the city they’d never visited, from perspectives they’d never imagined. Passage Ride organizers Sean Deyoe and Nathan Snider reflect on the ride’s passing with Don Ward, himself a ride veteran; but first, Don sits down with Metro Countywide Planning & Development Senior Director Lauren Cencic to learn how Metro surveys the public to choose among 3 options for closing the gap in LA’s 51 mile LA River (currently, riders along the river must take a detour through the cities of Vernon and Maywood before rejoining the path; but in 2027, riders will never have to leave the river).
