Culver City Mayor Meghan Sahli-Wells on the shifting bike culture of her city and cars versus livability.

James Askew, North Hollywood Neighborhood Council Treasurer and co-chair of the Public Safety and Beautification committees, on the Council’s opposition to the LA Bureau of Engineers’ proposal to widen Magnolia Boulevard.

Widening Magnolia Blvd would increase speeds, diminish sidewalks, and remove mature trees on a vital Valley corridor which is already part of the High Injury Network. The project flaunts LA’s Complete Streets guidelines and Vision Zero goals, which the BOE argues are merely recommended.

James and the entire North Hollywood Neighborhood Council are meeting with the Bureau of Engineers on Monday, February 10, and would like people to come and voice their opposition to the BOE for Council Member Kerkorian to hear.

Monday, February 10, 2020, 630pm, at the NoHo Senior Center, 5301 Tujunga Ave.
