Blind Biking and Street Therapy

Don and Nick talk with Brian Bushway, named by Mountain Bike Magazine as the World’s Best Blind Mountain Biker. Brian lost his sight when he was 14. Wanting to discover alternative ways to explore the world, Bushway learned how to see with sound. Like bats, he relies on echolocation when he mountain bikes, using sound to locate objects.

and with Briana Cohen, one of 4 recipients of Adventure Cycling’s 2019 Greg Siple Award for Young Adult Bicycle Travel. Briana’s project, “Fearless Tandem,” was a bike travel workshop for 15 students at the Texas school for the blind and visually impaired.
