tacos and advocacy

Carlos Morales hosts the world’s most famous taco ride, Tour de Taco, stars in Middle Aged Men in Lycra (M.A.M.I.L.) and has a new communication system for cyclists. Then, activists who brought bike infrastructure to their communities tell how they did it: Don Ward, veteran of various campaigns for safe streets; Damian Kevitt, hit-and-run survivor and founder of Streets Are For Everyone and Finish the Ride; Barbara Linder, fighter for the recently won Beverly Hills Bike lane; and Scott Froschauer, whose street sign art and local organizing, with the help of S.A.F.E., brought safe street infrastructure to La tuna Canyon after a cyclist was hit there by a driver who then fled.
